Whether an individual is new to the professional world, prepping for college, making a transition in their career, or returning from the big leagues, we act as a dedicated coach focused on enhancing one’s professional brand. Job seekers are talent, talent is an asset and assets are worth investing in. Career coaching with Venture Athletics' certified HR professionals gives athletes tangible skills and tools to set them apart in the job market. Just like pre-season conditioning, we focus in 3 key areas and our Career Training Camp:

Fielding - Decide where you want to play

• Choose the Field - There are a million career options out there…we help job seekers focus on the one that is right for them. Sometimes getting started is the hardest part. We do a deep dive to understand what motivates, what they’re great at and which field they want to play in.
•  Predictive Index Assessment – This tool will deliver a report focused on workplace style, communication with others, strengths, potential limitations, and contributions to a team. This helps inform the player and coach on the environment and team that is best aligned.
• Respond to Action - We equip job seekers with targeted job hunt skills and the ability to respond to opportunities in the market.

Pitching - How to pitch yourself in the market

• Resume - We’ll create a killer resume, emphasizing the core strengths and experience the job seeker has specific to the field they are pursuing.
• Elevator Pitch – We help establish the “elevator pitch” that articulates the job seeker’s goals, qualifications and unique value prop that makes them stand out
• LinkedIn Profile- We’ll set up a LinkedIn profile to include important key words and skills that will attract recruiters.
• Network building – The greater the network, the greater the opportunities. We’ll ensure the individual is utilizing their own network to its fullest potential and we’ll work with you to expand it by making introductions within our own HR and business management arena.

Hitting - Knock the interview responses out of the park with strategic interviewing skills

• Interview Tips & Tricks – We make sure job seekers are well prepared for all types of interviews whether they are in-person, virtual or by phone. We educate on skills-based, situational and behavioral questions that commonly arise in an interview. Individuals will learn what to anticipate and how to respond. Whether an individual is invited to participate in a casual chat or formal multi-series panel interview, we cover it all.
• Mock Interview – We actually put theory into practice and role play through various interview Q&A scenarios.
• Follow Up Skills – Our players are remembered by hiring managers because our playbook works. We teach job seekers how to close the deal.
